Clubs and Societies are the life and soul of university life, and with over 100 of them, you’re bound to find one that suits you. From Aikido to White Water Rafting, Analogue Photography to A Cappella, there’s something for everyone. And if you can’t find one that matches your interests, perhaps you’d like to start your own!
Clubs and Societies Day
This is the flagship event on campus, and it’s the perfect opportunity to sign up for your favorites and meet new people. It takes place during the first week of Semester 1 every year, and a ‘mini’ version in Semester 2.
Joining a Club or Society
Joining a Club or Society will enrich your university experience. You’ll form lasting networks and friendships while fostering a strong sense of belonging, all while having a great time. So, what are you waiting for? Join today! Explore the available options in our A-Z listing. We’ve provided their main contact information, such as social media accounts or emails, so you can express your interest in getting involved. Each Club or Society has its own membership approach, with some being free to join and others requiring a small fee.
It’s important to note that all clubs and societies affiliated with the Tasmanian University Students Association (TUSA) are non-discriminatory. You are not restricted in terms of which clubs and societies you can join, and you are welcome to join as many as you like.
UTAS Sporting Clubs
The University of Tasmania is now affiliated with a number of Sporting Clubs. You can find more information about them here.
