Meeting each fortnight at 12:15pm in the photography lab on level 2 at the Centre for the Arts at the Hunter Street Campus, the APS (Analogue Photographic Society) facilitates analogue workshops for members. Demonstrating black and white film development, darkroom printing and film scanning, APS also encourages fine art feedback sessions, cultivating a space for students to seek greater and refined feedback and their specialised medium.
With an upcoming group exhibition at the Sunroom Gallery in September, all registered members will have the opportunity to showcase their work to the wider public and experiment in their emerging careers. We run 2 field trips each year, with the first coming up in May. Memberships are open to alumni of UTAS, with alumni having access to the art school during workshops, feedback sessions and film screenings. Annual memberships are $10 for students and $15 for alumni.
