Please include any of your relevant Social Media handles/URLS below. All electronic campaign material must be forwarded to elections@tusa.utas.edu.au for approval prior to being uploaded to your social media channels.

All printed material relating to your campaign must be authorised and details included on your material as per the TUSA Election Policy and Procedure. If you are running as part of a ticket/group, you can nominate a single person as your agent, who you authorise to undertake material advertising activities on your behalf.

The person nominated as agent will receive notice of their nomination upon submission of this form.

This notice of nomination must be authorised by at least TWO nominators eligible to vote in the election. It is recommended that you have more than two nominators and you cannot nominate yourself. Refer to Candidate Information on the TUSA website for nomination eligibility.

Distance and online students: We know that studying online or at a distance can make it harder to connect with your student community. If you are running for Education President – Online, or you identify as a distance/online student, you may choose one of the following:

1. Provide two nominators (as above), or
2. Instead of nominators, write a short paragraph (approx. 150–250 words) explaining how you will connect with and represent your cohort if elected.

The following are the Returning Officer's requirements for candidate statements:

• Statements are limited to a maximum of 1000 characters.
• Statements are not compulsory for a valid nomination, but if submitted there should be one for each position nominated for. When applying for one position and NUS the same statement will be used.
• The heading of your statement will include your ballot paper name and the position you are contesting.
• You may not mention another candidate by name without the Returning Officer receiving their written consent with the nomination.
• Statements should not breach the TUSA Election Policy or Procedure in any way (e.g. offering gifts or other incentives to secure votes).
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your statement.
• Statements will be published on the online voting system, the TUSA website, and other means used to promote the election.
• Social media details are not included in the election voting system by default. If you would like them displayed, please include them in your candidate statement.

Candidates to please submit a digital photograph of themselves to accompany their candidate statement. The following are the approved requirements for photographs:

• Photographs must be passport-style (head and shoulders on a neutral background).
• You may smile and/or wear glasses.
• Photos should be recent.
• Please note that photographs will be cropped into a square format for publication.
• The Returning Officer reserves the right to adjust or reject photographs at their discretion.

Nominating for Equity President entails additional steps before submission, as outlined by the Position Description. The nomination for this role requires a written letter of support from two Equity focused organisations that demonstrate the prospective nominees willingness to represent students that identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, students studying with disabilities, people who identify as women and international students. These letters of support can be sourced from TUSA-affiliated societies or external organisations. Please contact the Returning Officer for more information as to what organisations are recognized as meeting this.

Letters of support must be submitted along with the nomination for the position. This letter must include the name, role, organisation and contact details of the person supporting the nominee.

Nominations for this position must also include a statutory declaration that they identify as a student from one of the equity communities listed above.

Personal Information Protection Statement (required by the Personal Information Protection Act 2004).

1. Personal information will be collected from you for the purpose of your nomination for the Tasmanian University Student Association (TUSA) election and will be used by the TUSA for assessing and managing the nomination, and may be used for other purposes permitted by the Association's Constitution.
2. Failure to provide this information may result in your nomination not being able to be accepted and processed.
3. Your personal information will be used for the primary purpose for which it is collected and may be disclosed to contractors and agents of the TUSA.
4. Personal information will be managed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 and the TUSA Personal Information Protection Statement and may be accessed by the individual to whom it relates on request to the TUSA.
