The Student Legal Service is a collaboration between the Tasmanian University Student Association, Youth Law Australia and UTAS Law Students. We provide free and confidential legal advice to students of University of Tasmania on a range of issues such as: Tenancy issues, Workplace issues, Family violence, Contract and consumer issues, Issues with the University and Criminal charges. The society also hosts several information sessions regarding tenancy and permanent residency each semester.
The society holds weekly committee meeting on Tuesdays at 5pm during the semester for the committee members to check in with each other on the society’s progress and other matters.
