Kick off your semester with all things sexy and consensual at our SHaG week, coming to all the campuses near you, brought to you by TUSA!

We’ve got a range of activities planned across the state, from workshops and panels to drag events to a Red Party, all designed to help you embrace sex positivity, learn the importance of healthy relationships, sexual identities, safer sexual practices and reduce the stigmas on these topics. Plus, you can gather up a ton of freebies (think vibes and condoms)!

Love Languages Workshop – Online

Sometimes, feeling more connected to others comes down to using the right love language. Love languages are the ways we prefer to show affection and care for others, and the way we prefer them to show affection and care to us.

Shag Week Expo – Launceston

Monday 4 August, 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Come kick off SHAG Week with us up north at the Shag Week Expo a laid-back market where TUSA clubs, student societies and community groups come together around sexual health, LGBTQIA+ support, mental wellbeing and more. Explore 10 interactive stalls with demos, info and giveaways grab free sweet potatoes, drinks, goodies and even “Sexy” cookies & tea then dive into fun activities on consent, healthy relationships, mental health and beyond.

SHAG: Sex Toy Bingo – Online

Get ready for a unique twist on bingo! We have partnered up with Adult Shop to bring you an unforgettable evening of Sex Toy Bingo, all from the comfort of your own home.

Shibari 101 with Hexxling Ropes – Launceston

Tueday 5 August, 6pm – 8pm

Come along and join us for a unique and fun introductory workshop in shibari (rope tying), delivered by Hexxling Ropes. Participants can expect a safe and comfortable environment to explore and learn.

SHAG Market Day – Hobart

Come and “get lucky” at Sandy Bay and explore all the services available in Tasmania for your sexual health, wellbeing, and fun! Freebies and food are free for the taking so don’t miss out, think BOINK!

Drag Queen Bingo – Launceston

Join Naomi from TasCAHRD for an interactive workshop around reducing stigma, debunking myths and learning how to stay safe whilst enjoying sex! All welcome and no question is off limits! This is a great way to ask all the questions you were not sure who to ask and to learn some things you may not have known.

Women’s Health Tas Abortion Advocacy Workshop – Inveresk

Thursday 7 August, 1pm – 3pm

Come down to the Inveresk Student Cottage (Station Cottage) at the TUSA offices on Inveresk Campus for a relaxed, interactive session with Marge from Women’s Health Tasmania. We’ll cover abortion advocacy, awareness and support sharing your experiences, learning about rights and resources, and building skills to champion reproductive health in our community
