The Tasmania University Union Muslim Society (TUUMS) is a student-led group that represents the voice and needs of Muslim students at UTAS while fostering inclusion and mutual respect across the wider university community. We provide a supportive space for students to connect, grow spiritually, and engage in meaningful conversations. TUUMS regularly hosts awareness sessions, Ramadan Iftars, Eid celebrations, prayer services, and educational or cultural events that promote understanding and wellbeing. Our society plays a key role in advocating for a positive and inclusive environment where diverse identities are respected. While we represent Muslim students, TUUMS is open to all students, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, who are interested in learning, building community, and supporting shared values on campus.
