Scroll down for information on the communities you’ll want to join, the people you can come to with concerns and questions, and a Frequently Asked Questions section answering any other questions you may have.

In Your Country or Language: International Future Students

What if my international qualification is not enough? Can I still enroll at UTAS?

UTAS offers the International Pathway College, which delivers a range of bridging programs to support international students in enrolling in Australian Tertiary qualifications.

I would like to get better at English during my time at UTAS. What programs are on offer?

UTAS offers English classes both online and face-to-face. More information can be found here.

What accommodation options are available to me?

There are accommodation options at every UTAS campus. Campus accommodation is a great way to meet people and is an easier and more convenient option than the private rental market (especially in Hobart, where houses are impossible to find!). Find more help with accommodations here.

My student visa has been declined, or is expiring soon, what do I do?

Although it is your responsibility to ensure that any visa and passport requirements are met at all times, the International Student Advisors can point you in the direction you need to go to make sure you have met and continue to meet legal requirements. The ‘Study Australia’ and ‘Study Tasmania‘ websites are some helpful resources that you can check out!
